About Chubby Pug Cheese Specialty Dog Treats
Our Chief Inspiration Officer
Layla Jane Pug (2008-2023) is the reason we started Chubby Pug Cheese! As she began getting older everything got a little bit harder. Pug was having some digestive issues and some of the treats were just too hard for her to crunch. So, we set out to develop a basic biscuit that was softer and Pug could still enjoy. Once we finalized the base treat, we went on to develop a pup-royal icing allowing us to create decorated treats we can share with our best furriends.

Kate lives in Ankeny, IA with her husband, Jeff. They both have been in the culinary world for over 10 years. Kate put her pastry skills to the test to develop these treats.
Chubby Pug Cheese, LLC is a licensed Micro-'BARKery' making treats in small batches with no artificial colors/flavors, no refined sugars or added salt.
We started out making cheesy shapes, our flagship design, The Cheese Snack, has now evolved into Barkcuterie Boards, monthly designs and customized treats for any occasion. Let us know what we can create for you!
